First time eating here and I'm so pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere is very classic diner style with modern flare. Ryan (who's super wonderful) , recommended the SCHNITZEL and it was AMAZING! The breaded chicken cutlet was cooked to perfection 😘👌🏼 I can't wait to try the bagels next 😋 🥯💕
Obsessed! Look how cute this place is! And the food is SO crisp and fresh. I ordered a basic egg salad sandwich on my lunch break and was not expecting it to be SO good. Do not omit the red onion, tomato or lettuce. Its perfection! Came with a pickle and cold slaw. I picked up a bag of chips at the register to go with my sandwich. Tons of options here, worth a stop. Will be returning.
They say first impressions are everything and Maven’s Delicatessen did not disappoint. We were immediately greeted by a kind man behind the counter who answered all of our questions and chatted with us while we waited not even 15 minutes for a table. We were seated and greeted by the best waitress ever Megan, who brought us coleslaw and pickles to munch on while we waited for our order. The food was impeccable, the service delightful, and the owner Jay refilled my drink more than once on his way by! Loved the experience so much, I bought a hat and had my picture taken with Megan! We’ll DEFINITELY be back!!!
Maven’s Delicatessen absolutely nailed it. I ordered the pastrami and Reuben sandwiches with potato latkes, coleslaw, and a Dr. Brown’s root beer, and I can confidently say this is the best pastrami sandwich I’ve ever had. I’ve been eating pastrami since I was a kid back when it felt like a reward for a good week at school and this hit that exact nostalgic sweet spot. Growing up around Boston, and spending time in Needham, Newton, and Brookline/Brighton, I’ve had my share of legit delis, and this place holds its own easily. I genuinely think I’ve found my new go-to sandwich spot
The Schnitzel* is a better version chicken cutlet my second favorite is the downtown. Great place to get a delicious sandwich. The deserts are fantastic bageks are made onsite it's a one of a kind deli it's a must try. The waitress Megan is spot on with helping you match your expections.
