Love the food here. Serves Filipino favorite dishes like kare kare, fried chicken and pinakbet. 😋
I came on a whim for lunch and ordered a bunch of food. I ordered half of the fried chicken, bulalo, pansit palabok, garlic fried rice and maja Blanca for dessert. The food tasted good it came quick as well. However the pansit palabok was lacking the sauce it was a bit dry and asked to have more sauce added, which they did. Also the maja Blanca was a little dry and too dense
Max’s Restaurant definitely brings some comforting Filipino flavors. The fried chicken really reminds you of the Philippines, and the pork BBQ was a standout favorite. The daing na bangus was good, and the crispy pata was okay. Unfortunately, the nilaga was oddly too gingery, and the sisig was a bit disappointing. Service-wise, Royce did his best to keep up with our drinks and was attentive. However, even though the food was pre-ordered, it still didn’t come out as quickly as expected. By the time the rest of the dishes arrived, we were already full, which was a letdown. Overall, a mix of highs and lows, but still a decent experience.
Everything was very good, especially the sizzling biko. Very attentive and friend service.
Staff are very friendly and attentive. The Crispy Pata and garlic fried rice were delish!! The dipping sauce for the pata, however, tasted weird compared to what I'm used to. The pinakbet and pancit sotanghon (supposed to be bihon) were meh. Adding patis didn't improve it. They didn't have their mango sticky rice dessert which I was looking forward to. The tables need major cleaning or resurfacing. It felt dirty and sticky.
