McCants Hot Dog Hut

I tried this place for the first time and I was not thrilled. I ordered the shrimp basket and a fish sandwich with a soda. The photos on the website and the actual food are misleading. The shrimp wasn't terrible, but it's clearly frozen. The fries were decent and I appreciate that they carry Canada Dry ginger ale. The fish sandwich was AWFUL, it had a very weird taste and the breading almost felt stale, it's definitely frozen as well. I do appreciate that my food was ready when I arrived, because parking is crazy over there. I don't want to judge this place solely on the seafood options, so I may be back to try some other items.

I got a build your own hotdog with crispy onions, onions, spicy mustard and cheddar. I ate it parked outside before I drove home. The hot dog was not even hot it was closer to room temperature almost cold. The bun is also not warm. Very disappointing temperature wise. The ingredients were fine. The hershey cheesecake has no graham cracker also despite listing it on the lid.

For me 3/3. When lady was doing the hotdogs anything you could smell was burning oil. That was really, really bad. Hot dogs were okay but nothing special about them. Even the bun was cold..

First time eating here, the two hotdogs that i got were the chilli dog with ketchup and sauerkraut, relish, ketchup and let me tell you it was so delicious. It’s s nice to have something different in the area, the customer service was really good and the packaging for the hotdog was perfect (it was in a sealed container). The bun was sweet and the hotdogs were all beef from what i can tell. The pricing is also good considering the times we are in. Will definitely come back.
