Customer Reviews
Great place for happy hour. My friends and I go directly to the bar for happy hour and we couldn't be more thrilled. Happy hour comes with a one drink minimum. I'm always happy to indulge in some mussels or the cheeseburger off the bar menu. Lots of finance people. Beware that you enter the right parking structure so that you won't get fined for an exorbitant amount of money.
Dominated by power lunches and business happy hours due to it's location, this McCormick & Schmick's has a bit of a different vibe than the ones in more rural places. Don't expect to see a lot of couples on dates here, or families. Do expect to see a lot of suits. Good food, prompt and cordial service. Always clean interior. Pro tip - make a reservation. It's simply easier that way, even if it's not busy, and you get seated right away. You can ask to change tables (and I suggest you do) if you find yourself next to a loud party.
If you're in downtown Los Angeles and looking for a solid happy hour restaurant, McCormick & Schmicks is an excellent choice. They have a decent selection of drinks and the happy hour food menu is excellent, with options like a decent burger, fish tacos and more. I whole-heartedly recommend getting the clam chowder, and definitely check the menu for drink specials. This happy hour is an excellent choice if you are attending an evening event at the LA Public Library. #fallforLA
Worst Steak ever. Ordered the Dry Rubbed Black Angus Ribeye Steak, medium rare, Chicago style. It came out looking worse than a $17 steak at Sizzler! A few grill marks, Thin, Dry, Though, and Over Cooked. Do not go here if you like steak.
Great happy hour location in the heart of Downtown LA. I highly recommend the burger and the bruchetta! It was delicious. Ask to sit on the patio if the weather is nice!
