McCormick & Schmick's Seafood & Steaks

My husband took me to McCormick & Schmick’s in Baltimore for a birthday celebration dinner, and it was an exceptional experience from beginning to end. It was our first time dining there, and the staff truly went above and beyond to make the evening feel special. From the personalized birthday menus to our waiter, Michael, immediately wishing me a happy birthday and offering to take photos throughout the night, the level of service was outstanding. Michael was attentive, warm, and genuinely thoughtful, which made a big difference. The food was fantastic. We started with a variety of oysters, followed by the chef’s special surf and turf for two, which included steak, lobster, and shrimp. It was all perfectly prepared. Great views of the harbor! We came early and the restaurant wasn't very crowded. Greeted at the front desk by the manager who was very friendly and gave us a nice booth. Ordered the rye chocolate old fashioned and the lavender haze and both were excellent! As an appetizer, we tried the seared tuna. Had to send it back because it wasn't seared - it was basically tuna tartar. Nonetheless, the manager had it remade for us and for good measure took it off the check which we greatly appreciated. It was a bit spicy! Still had great flavor. I had the wedge salad which met my expectations; good flavor and wasn't too big. For dinner we had the stuffed salmon which was absolutely delicious. Sword fish was very dry. And tasteless could’ve been way better than what it was. Dragon kiss was great! Steak frites were overcooked but was good.

The food was delicious! This is more of an uppity restaurant so if you have the right dress code and funds , I say go for it! I really enjoyed eating her on Valentine’s Day.

our server Jeremy was excellent. my mashed potatoes were a bit dry but everything else was very delicious. definitely recommend the crab & shrimp stuffed salmon. the basque cheesecake was incredibleee
