Meadowlark Fields Country

My friends and I recently stayed at the Meadowlark Fields Country House in Athens, Texas and would definitely go back. The house is 3,400 square feet and each bedroom has its own bathroom. Three porches, 3 sitting rooms, lots of space. The owners, Bruce and Stacey Peils, are a pleasant couple ready to share the history of the house, how it was moved to its current location on over 70 acres, and show you the album of the transformation of this home. Prepare to be served a delicious breakfast, and get this....you tell them what time you want breakfast served! Bruce Peil also has his own art studio that he is happy to show you. If you are going to Canton for First Monday weekend, this is the place to stay!

This is a great location in Athens Texas. Very pretty location and the owners have done a great job with the house. The rooms are gorgeous and they would be great to sleep in. The hosts are gracious and welcoming.

We had our monthly birthday luncheon celebrating October birthdays. Food was just go to anything in Dallas Texas. Reminded me of the chocolate angel and rich send on Campbell. I recommend this restaurant for special occasions. Only complaint is it’s not easy to find.

Stacey and Bruce were wonderful and their place is awesome!||The breakfasts were very delicious and the complimentary wine in the evening was very nice!||We celebrated my father n laws 80th birthday and couldn't have picked a better place!||Also, check out Bruce's Art Studio. ||Truly incredible!
