Medford Department of Public Works

This group of inept clowns completely ignored multiple snow and ice storms this past February at Columbus Park on East Albion St. I called the DPW, mayor’s office, and filed a report with pics in the city’s SeeClickFix app. Shout out to “Mike the highwayman” who was supposedly on the case. The snow eventually turned into a lovely 4” inch thick bumpy skating rink around the paved pedestrian path. DPW director McGivern isn’t up to the job and should resign.

The tree supervisor came out to cut down large dead tree across the street. He was extremely meticulous and methodical, in cutting and cleaning up, even in the torrential rain, and DESPITE being scolded by resident for pruning the other tree in front of her house. He was pruning instead of sitting idly in his truck waiting for backup equipment. He also helped another neighbor. Just wanted to let someone know this.

The Medford DPW is a bunch of incredible men who love the city they work for. These men have always gone above and beyond anytime they are needed. I help with the youth baseball program in this city I love and everytime I have asked for something they come through for the children of Medford. These men are greatly appreciated and never get the recognition they deserve.
