We made a sweet stop at Mel’s Ice Cream after lunch, and it was the perfect cherry on top of our day. We went for Rocky Road and Butter Pecan, and let me tell you—these scoops were no joke. I actually had to ask them to stop scooping. I’m not even kidding. I was like, “Okay that’s enough, I swear I can’t finish all that!” Huge, generous servings that made me feel like a kid again. The Rocky Road was rich, chocolatey, and packed with gooey marshmallows and crunchy nuts—just how it should be. And the Butter Pecan? Creamy, buttery, and full of that toasted pecan flavor that makes you close your eyes and go “Mmm” with every bite. We finally stopped in here after driving past for so many years and it was greater than I imagined! I got 1 scoop of cookie dough and 1 scoop of butter brickle in a chocolate sprinkle cone. The ice cream is soooo creamy and sweet without being overly sweet and the cookie dough bits had a great consistency- no t dry and almost sandy like some other brands have and the butter brickle had an amazing caramel swirl and a nice amount of toffee bits. And the serving sizes are VERY generous. This took me a while to eat! Good customer service and a charming interior. We look forward to coming in again!
