Melt

Melt is an Italian-American restaurant located at the Promenade Shops at Saucon Valley. It's open Monday through Thursday from 11:00 AM to 9:30 PM, with later hours on Friday and Saturday until 10:00 PM, and Sunday until 8:30 PM. I've been to Melt before, so I went in with fairly neutral expectations, not expecting anything terrific, but not expecting it to be terrible either. My friend and I started with the calamari fritti. As I went to pick up my first bite, I noticed how light it felt, which made sense once I realized there was barely any calamari beneath all that breading. Next I had a bowl of their homemade pasta e fagioli. There wasn't much in it but it came out hot and had a nice, comforting flavor. For my main, I went with the garlic herb buttered scallops with house-made orzo

I wanted to love this place, I really did. The setting and decor are impressive. The service was fast and attentive. The items on the menu were enticing. The food, however, was not (as it should have been) the high point of our lunch. Two of us ordered Caesar salad. I’ve had many good Caesar salads, including one’s made at the table side. The key is the dressing, the anchovies the flavor. Well, the lettuce was good lol. It was not swimming in dressing, which is good but it tasted like standard food service dressing with standard food service croutons. I could’ve gone to Olive Garden. I added grilled chicken to mine, which was well prepared. One of our party got the Caprice Panino imperial the ingredients for fresh, but otherwise nothing to write home about. Melt - it's not just a restaurant; it's an experience that's totally worth the drive! From the moment we arrived, our waitress (Danielle) was such a joy to chat with and was incredibly attentive to all our requests. This was especially important for us since we have some food sensitivities and allergies, and she handled everything perfectly! And let me tell you, you HAVE to try the cheesecake – it was absolutely delicious! Getting there was easy, and we highly recommend making a reservation ahead of time because it can get pretty busy. The support staff was so friendly and cheerful, adding to the great atmosphere. The manager even stopped by to check in on us, which was a nice touch! Plus, the warm, flavorful bread was definitely a highlight! I can’t recommend their pasta dishes enough;

We have celebrated several family birthdays at Melt always having a lovely experience, and delicious food. Personal birthday cakes brought by us, cut & served by staff with a fee- we knew that prior. However, this time, When the remaining portion of birthday cake was returned to us to take home, we realized that they only served us the top portion of the cake, which seemed odd, especially since this was a service we were charged additionally for. We will return, since the food & service was good, but keep in mind instructions for serving entire slices of cake will need to be provided.. I have added a photo.

The food was absolutely delicious, and the cocktails were amazing. One of the best Old Fashioneds I’ve ever had! Our server Juan was very attentive, kind, and friendly. He made us feel very welcome and took great care of us. Highly recommend!
