Mena's Tex-Mex Grill Cantina

The patio is lovely with colorful umbrellas over tables. I ordered a frozen margarita, and it came with a live orchid flower in it! Very nice touch. The food came out fast, was delicious and fresh. Superb service. Only flaw was they dont serve sweet tea,yet we ordered un-sweet tea, with a side of simple syrup. Great place.

Stopped in for lunch today and absolutely loved it. We always enjoy supporting locally owned restaurants instead of big chain places, and this spot is truly a hole-in-the-wall gem. The place was busy, which is always a great sign, but the service was outstanding and everything moved quickly. We were in and out in no time, making it a perfect lunch stop. The food was fantastic. The chicken sour cream enchiladas were especially delicious and definitely the highlight of the meal. Great food, great service, and a great local spot. We’ll definitely be back!

I enjoyed my dinner here last night. The food, ambiance and service were on point. The fish tacos with the roasted tomatoes took me back in time. It was delicious. Eric the bartender delivered on amazing and hospitable service. Chips and salsa were fresh and flavorful. Very nice chill ambiance for any evening to just relax and grab a tasty bite. Will definitely revisit when in Richardson.

This was my second time visiting Mena’s Grill, but my first time dining in and sitting at the bar. Customer service was excellent — truly a 5 out of 5. The bartender was attentive, kind, and professional. The atmosphere felt welcoming, and you can tell they have loyal regulars, which always speaks well of a restaurant. The staff overall seemed consistent and friendly. Now for the food. I ordered the queso to start. The flavor was good, but it wasn’t hot — more lukewarm than fresh-out-the-kitchen warm. For my entrée, I had the skirt steak with beans, pico de gallo, enchilada, and rice. The flavors were solid, but again, the plate came out lukewarm. For a Tex-Mex spot, temperature really matters. I don’t need it piping hot, but I do expect my food to feel freshly made and properly heated

There’s a lovely spot in the corner that’s ideal for photos, adding a nice touch for memorable moments. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly welcomed, and the staff’s friendly and cool attitude made our visit even better. We ordered the Healthy Chicken Plate and Chicken Fajitas, and both dishes were absolutely delicious. The quality of the food was impressive, and the portions were generous, offering great value for the price. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking to enjoy tasty Tex-Mex in a welcoming and stylish setting. Definitely worth a visit!
