I’ve been to Mercado LIC a number of times and this place is Phenomenal. The ambience, the food, the bar, the service has been top-notch. I have a very high standard for Italian food and Gino and his team beat it every time. For the appetizer, try their meatballs or the goat cheese appetizer on focaccia. They’re spin on calamari is calamari and shrimp together! If you’re a fan of chicken scarpariello Ask them to make it for you - you will be more than happy! Also for dessert, try one of their chocolate martinis

Amazing Food and Wonderful Hospitality at Mercato LIC My family and I stopped by Mercato LIC for lunch and were pleasantly surprised by how delicious everything was! The pizza was outstanding, and the Minestrone soup (soup of the day) was full of flavor. We also had a lovely conversation with the owner, Gino—such a kind and genuine person who clearly takes pride in using high-quality ingredients. The atmosphere is fantastic: a beautiful interior, a great terrace, and awnings for comfort on sunny days. We’re so glad we discovered this gem and will definitely be coming back soon!

I grew up Italian-American (my grandfather lived on Arthur Avenue) and this place has some of the best Italian food I’ve ever had in my life. The staff is incredibly welcoming, and the owner went out of his way to make our engagement night special. Don’t be fooled by 5-star reviews from clueless tourists who like Olive Garden…if you want to get authentic Italian food, talk to Italian people about where they go to eat. This place is the real deal and we will be coming back. Grazie mille, Gino!

My wife and I love this restaurant! Great Italian food & romantic atmosphere, friendly service and a delicious brunch. Best pizza, pancakes, minestrone soup, chicken parm, deserts, chocolate martinis, omelettes and gnocchi! Great for date nights! Enjoy 😊

I love love love coming to this perfect neighborhood Italian spot. I always come after getting my nails done next door! Everyone is so friendly. They always remember me and make it such a pleasant experience. They even remember and are so sweet to my dog when I sit outside with her in warmer weather. Not to mention that all the food and wine are to die for. I look forward to it always! I’ll miss it so much when I move later this year! I’ll have to come back whenever I’m back in nyc. 🥰
