Mereb Bar and Restaurant

I recently visited Mereb with a friend and it was a standout experience. We shared the Meat Combo, a platter featuring a variety of seasoned meats and vegetables served atop fresh injera. The balance of spices was perfect. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Since it was our first time, they took the time to explain the dishes. We’ll definitely be back to try their highly recommended traditional Ethiopian coffee.

I went to this restaurant with 8 of my friends and family. We ordered traditional Ethiopian dishes kitfo, lega tibs, derek sizzling tibs, dulet, Shuro and the food was amazingly delicious, the service excellent and the atmosphere welcoming and enjoyable. At the end, we were served traditional Ethiopian coffee. It was fantastic!! We had a great time. We all loved it and we are definitely coming back.

Tiny Mom & Pop Ethiopian restaurant with great cooking & friendly people. Aromatic Ethio coffee roasted in-house. More injera if you need it. Combo veg or meat platter feeds 2 ppl easily, ~$25. Also has a bar. We would go again.

Best Ethiopian food I’ve had in DC, reasonably priced and hospitality is number 1. I highly recommend the beef tibbs. If you watch football they have large flat screen tvs and you can watch the games!

I went here with my brother and the atmosphere and customer service was very welcoming. The food was very traditional to the Ethiopian culture and it had us wanting more after every bite. Definitely would recommend to friends and family! This place is amazing!!!
