Merk's Place

I have been going to Merks Resturant for over 12 years. This place is the best of the best. My wife and I always look forward to our meals at Merks and have never been disappointed. You can always expect fresh vegetables. In the 12 years we been going we have not had a single complaint. The waitresses are very friendly and always ensure you are happy with your meal especially Tiffany. Just go there and I promise you will not be disappointed. This place is by far #1. Oh and they have the best ice cream bar we have seen.

Roaming around visiting State Parks and Appomattox Historic Site, and found this local eatery. The staff are very nice! Unfortunately, I was apparently too hungry to remember to get pictures of the food. Chatted a bit about what I was looking for and what was good. The burger was great, and from the looks of the other patrons, the milk shakes were wonderful. Will definitely stop back on my next trip through.

Found this treasure, killing some time. The 5 page menu, provided many options for any taste. I chose wings while my wife tried the open face roast beef sandwich. We witnessed the comforting atmosphere with arriving guests, as the dinner crowd rolled in. Our appetizer was a BBQ flatebread, delicious.

A good, classic American diner experience. We went for breakfast and the breakfast pizza was really tasty! My husband always gets chipped beef gravy on rye with a breakfast biscuit. This is the kind of place with a lot of "regulars" and committed customers and servers who know your name.

Our waitress, Malia was super friendly and did great. They were short staffed, so my pizza came out a little bit later than the rest of the food; however, they boxed it up for me and it was delicious! My kids loved their food off of the kids menu, and my wife, who has celiac, was able to get a delicious meal that was gluten free. The atmosphere is that of a vintage diner. It was like a step back in time and I can't wait to go back and visit the ice cream bar.
