Merritt Canteen

I came here for a breakfast sandwich the service, atmosphere was okayt he place was clean. I ordered a steak egg and cheese with grilled onions on a hard roll with hashbrowns. What they gave me was this sub it only had a small amount of meat that covered the front part the hash brown was basic, but everything was edible. I would love to try lunch here, hopefully, for a better food experience. What you see if what you get...

The food is fried and fantastic. My favorite--and hard to find--liver and onions sandwich. Pre order and they are fast and keep you up to date. The staff always has a smile 😃 The times I have gone into the store and ordered I didn't wait longer than 10 minutes.

First time there today, had a fried onion hot dog and onion rings. Cooked to perfection. Husband had a chili dog and a cheeseburger and loved both. Everyone working was friendly and patient, like I said it was our first time and there was lots to look at! For sure plan on going back again soon!

I bit into a fried oreo, felt it slimy & raw as I was chewing it so I spit it out & called the waiter over to show them. The manager walked over & said “that’s just how the dough is because it’s frozen, they just put it to fry”. I asked her to come back to show her a perfectly cooked oreo on my plate. She said she’s not able to take them back cause we already bit into it. Obviously, I was just looking for a replacement, or something, not for them to refry the oreos. I’ve never experienced such horrible service at Merritt Canteen before & that lady has been working there longer than I’ve been alive. She should take customer service classes & learn how to deal with customers correctly. I will not be eating here again.

One word: Amazing....had chili cheese dogs, single hamburger, onion rings and topped it off with a XL fruity pebbles milk shake...yum
