Merrymount Private Beach

Beautiful, small, cozy spot to relax and take in the fresh air. About 4 picnic tables to have a quick bite outdoors, and plenty of benches to sit at. Playground for kids is nice and the jungle gums are wide and roomy. One big one for the big kids with 3 different slides and a small jungle gym for the little ones. I highly recommend place if you appreciate nature and enjoy fresh air, trees, water, lots of sun coming through and it's quiet and never crowded. It is somewhat hidden though, you can drive right past and never notice it unless your looking for it. Nevertheless it's a beautiful place that I will be coming more often. Also, if you have dogs I'm sure they will love it too. I've actually noticed paws print in the soft ground near the water and Marsh. Can't wait for the warmer weather

Private beach supported by members of the surrounding neighborhood. Like most of Quincy Bay, it is a rocky gravel beach (no sand castles here) but it is by the inflow/outflow of Black's Creek and the salt marshes between Merrymount and Wollaston, so the water is warmer than you'd expect sea water to be. Some road noise from the Quincy Shore Drive, but lots of space for families to swim, run around, and sit in the sun. Also lots of green space to sit in the shade or play ball.

I was covering Cleaner Greener event for QATV. It was great to see people out volunteering to clean up this wonderful space we can use.

Great neighborhood park with beach. This is a private park run by the local HOA. A family member reserved it for our yearly reunion. Works out great for us.
