Mesquite Valley Smokehouse

Wow starting with the hospitality/service very nice and professional we went in minutes before closing time and was welcomed in without hesitation. Food service is quick and delicious!!! The beans and cornbread they start you with Wow I could make a meal out of that it self; it was so good!! Ribs beef and pork both amazing!! The brisket & sausage awesome!! Prices very fair!!

Decided to try this out based on word of mouth. Came on a Saturday around 3, there were customers enjoying the food, parking was available around back. Honestly I hadn't considered trying it until I heard something about it. My expectations were cautious at best. So many local barbecue places are mid at best. I was pleasantly surprised! The brisket was flavorful, great texture, good smoke! I had the chopped brisket potatoe. One of the best on this side of the valley. We were welcomed with beans and cornbead. The beans were tasty, but the cornbread was amazing! The atmosphere was on point for a BBQ place. There is a bar, for lone diners, or a cold one. Service- friendly, attentive, on point. The Valley's BBQ scene is up and coming and Mesquite Valley is one to watch!

The place was easy to find. Our first time there. Plenty of food for the amount I paid. I ordered the bbq chicken with 2 sides and my wife the combo meat with two sides. They brought out baked beans with spicy sausage and two squares of sweet corn bread even before we placed our orders. That's a great detail. You get free coke refills. The food was tasty even without the bbq sauce. My wife was happy with the place and the food.

Talk about good food, excellent service and good atmosphere. Started with beans and cornbread. Nathan was our server, very attentive and a good conversationalist. He asked us what we thought as we enjoyed our meal. I had the pulled pork sandwich with fried mushrooms as my side. My husband had the BBQ poorboy with onion rings. There was so much meat on both sandwiches that we have enough for supper tonight. The tea was good and fresh. The jalapeño cheese sausage was delicious and the pulled pork was tender and moist. Highly recommend.

Seeing the other comments made me feel less crazy. The food tastes WEIRD. Not bad but weird. Like the cornbread tastes like... cake. Like cake mix. The bbq sauce was very sweet. The green beans were all onion and bacon mush. The coleslaw was all apples? It was all very strange lol. Not sure what the recipes are but umm. The salad, mac & cheese, and chicken were a decent choice. Our waitress was great though & the girls working up front were very nice!
