Metro Star Coffee Shop

Went in with my family to eat breakfast. Very quick and friendly service. Small restaurant but was very cozy. Ordered a torta and it was sooo good. Very authentic and I definitely recommend , would go again!

UPDATE: They closed the register and shut down the grill over 11 minutes early today, and wouldn’t sell or make anything. Rather disappointed, as otherwise I really like this place. Excellent food and service, this is my second time eating here. On my first visit I ordered the California omelet, which was fresh and and very well prepared. This visit I ordered the sausage egg and cheese sandwich, which had a proper sausage patty and eggs cooked just right. One minor gripe, while dining in they do not provide free refills on regular coffee.

CANNOT RECOMMEND ENOUGH! Great breakfast/brunch food at unbeatable prices. Extremely friendly staff. I tried the Metro Star panini and was pleasantly surprised (pictured below). I would say that it’s not quite a coffee shop (there are limited coffee options and they are good, but not great), but an absolute must visit brunch place in Queens!

I try to give this place the benefit of doubt. Worst service takes for ever, forgets what you order and on top they always get it wrong. 10 times again and again and wrong. Need better management or something.

Used to come here all the time but too pricey now almost 13 for a reg sandwich on roll you’re better offf making one at home
