Mi Tierra Mexican Restaurant Hilton Head

Cool restaurant, different style of Mexican food than I’m used to. Still pretty good. Our server was questionable and didn’t understand basic words. And not because they didn’t speak English.

I ordered online. It gave me an option for sides. I did not want rice. An option for side was a shrimp enchilada. I selected the option and it did not add any extra fee so I added it. When I picked up the order they asked me what I wanted. Of course, I will take a shrimp enchilada rather than rice. I said I wanted the beef and the shrimp enchiladas as I ordered. My order included 2 sides of beans, no shrimp enchilada!!! Besides the order being wrong, It did not have any flavor. Everything seemed bland!!! Sorry, wish Java Burrito would have been open today!

The food is the main draw. The vegetable fajitas have cauliflower, carrots and lots of green peppers. The seasoning was mild and a bit on the salty side. There was a whole plate of rice and beans with pico de gallio and guacamole, accompanied by 4 tortillas. Mixed together, the flavor was very satisfying.With all of that, I didn't have to order a starter of guacamole; but their guacamole is made fresh and is very creamy. The sports TVs clash with the music, which would be much better alone. Seating for one is limited. Definitely geared for families and large groups

Walked in with one hour before closing. Staff was great, no pressure or rush to get us out. Menu options were great! Drink selection was also excellent. Tostada , Fajitas, chips salsa and three drinks . Under 50 bucks! We will be back.

I can’t believe I haven’t dropped these guys a 5 star review years ago, but better late than never… This is my favorite Mexican restaurant and probably my favorite restaurant period Everything they serve is excellent, the prices are incredibly fair, they make a mean margarita and the staff is incredibly welcoming and friendly Mi Tierra is a godsend for the region, please don’t stop doing what you’re doing! Thanks for all the great food and the lovely atmosphere, looking forward to my next visit when I’m back in town!
