Midlothian Library - Chesterfield Public Library

I really love coming here and getting my homework done. I am grateful for the nice space and peaceful environment it offers. However, I wish it was enforced more by the library that this is supposed to be a quiet place. But I understand that it is the parent's fault for letting their kids scream and run around. It is awfully distracting. Otherwise, I really do love coming here. I usually try to book a room to avoid all the noise but unfortunately they fill up quite fast. I do not blame the staff at all just to be clear, they are great.

Fabulous, inspirational building! And as good as this place looks on the outside, it works just as hard indoor for its patrons. There is something for every age here and all is arranged in inviting design. Loved the natural landscaping, recycling bins, and LED lighting. Appreciated the media lab with 3D printer, puzzle swap and book sale. My kids would have flipped for the children's area. Lots of study rooms and more informal study carrells and just groupings of furniture to invite you to pick out a book and settle in to enjoy it. The family library at its best!

As might as well, go to a daycare to do your work. Kids will be babbling and running, and their parents won't do anything. There is constant noise in the children's area that echoes throughout the whole library, and the librarians do not pay them any mind. I shouldn't have to rent a room every time I go to this library, when, most of the time, it's booked up. Silence is the whole point of this facility. It's a beautiful place, but the noise is unfathomably annoying. There is no respect towards the other people that are studying or working. If you are planning on stopping by this library to be productive, make sure you bring your headphones.

Super cute library, a little bit of everything for every age. My toddler loved the children’s area indoors and outdoors. Looking forward to more visits here!

This is hands down the best library in this area. Clean, new facility, very professional and kind staff, interesting programs for all ages and vast selection of books, dvds, games etc.
