Midway Grille

Our favorite place in brunswick county. All the servers treat us like family. We have tried everything on the menu, except hot dogs (maybe next week) and loved it all. We called in an order from work once for 12 people. They read it back, showing attention to detail. The food was ready and warm for all of us.

When I first walked in, my expectations were very low. Me and my wife were cruising for some lunch and decided to pop in here. When we walked in here, I would describe the atmosphere as stuffy and full of regulars. We felt very out of place for a few moments. Once we receded, our waitress came over and really set the tone for the rest of the afternoon. She was kind and attentive, gave us the rundown on the specials. I ordered the chicken sandwich with homemade ranch and a cup of the shrimp soup. My wife got the burger. Both of our entrées were fantastic! The service was fantastic! I would recommend this place for lunch 10 times out of 10.

Shame on us for not trying this place sooner! Just because it’s not in Southport or Oak Island doesn’t mean it’s not worth the short drive. Trust us—you’ll be glad you did! We visit the area 2–3 times a year for vacation, and somehow, we never ventured up to this restaurant until now. Well, that’s changed because not only did we love it on our first visit, but we also came back a second time in the same week! Everything we tried was outstanding, and the friendly staff made the experience even better. On our first visit, it was a bit busy, so there was a slight wait between ordering and getting our food. We had a wonderful experience with our whole entire experience. Our waitress was the best of the best!! Our food was sooo delicious- Cajun chicken sandwich/ French fries & patty melt burger on sourdough/sweet potato fries was hot hot hot & cooked to perfection….YUMMY. We highly recommend and can’t wait to try something different!!! Their soup & desserts look great also.

Food was delicious and perfectly seasoned. Busy place with a steady stream of customers coming in. Highly recommend the Monterey Chicken. The key lime pie is not made in house.
