Mifflintown Licensing and Notary

I went in before buying an out of state trailer asking what i would need. They said Maine didn’t require titles to be notarized so I didn’t get it. Today they said, yeah but Pennsylvania requires a notary so i need one? A little late now for another trip all the way to Maine. Their faulty information led me to the wrong actions.

I will never ever take my business here. The gentleman that answered the phone was extremely rude and stated “I am extremely busy and don’t have time for this”. He clearly has zero people skills and does not how to talk kindly to customers. I was simply asking if he did title transfers for vehicles that were being gifted and treated me like absolute crap.

Guy's a hero. After driving an hour and a half and waiting on the seller till 8:10pm he had me in and out without any complaint. Mind you I didn't even set up an appointment. If I'm ever in the area and need a notary this will be my go too.

Saturday: The one day a week that suits most people to go look at/buy a car. And yet finding a notary with Saturday hours is nearly impossible. This place was a God-send for us today! Open 9 AM to 6 PM each Saturday, which allowed us to sell a car to a lovely couple that lives 3 hours away without needing a return trip or taking time off work on a weekday. Courteous, knowledgeable, very helpful. A pleasant experience overall! The location is quite rural, but as others have said, it's a beautiful drive. The interior of the office itself was quite nice as well; very neat and professional, which I believe reflects the quality of work you can expect. Completed our title transfer and tag service quickly and conveniently, and explained each step of the process as we went. I highly recommend

Needed a title transfer done and Gray’s couldn’t do it, said “their system was down” so I drove out here and the owner took me in even though they weren’t technically opened yet. The office space is nice and clean and the equipment appears to be top of the line. Everything was done in a matter of minutes and they even accept credit/debit payments unlike Gray’s but there is an additional 4% fee for processing. I can’t give 5 stars because it cost me $186 ($42 more than Gray’s quoted) but I’d use them again in a pinch if I had to.
