Aside from vegans and vegetarians, who doesn’t love meatballs? At their most basic, they consist of ground meat (one or more varieties) rolled into a ball or oblong shape and can be found, with wild variation, around the globe. They are bound together with a little egg, milk, and perhaps breadcrumbs with some herbs and spices added to the mix. Located on a busy South Street in the heart of Morristown, my partner and I decided on dinner last night at Millie’s Old World Meatballs and Pizza, named after the owners’ grandmother, before the Mayo show. The location was ideal just a block away. The reservation was easily made via OpenTable. Upon arrival as first-timers, we were greeted by the staff and got a table inside the main dining room evoking modern Italy with an open kitchen, brick wal

Had such a lovely and unexpected dinner at Millie’s Old World in Morristown the other night. We ended up there by chance after a friend called while we were over an hour away, and it turned out to be such a great evening! We were able to get a cozy table outside, and the weather was perfect. Even though Millie’s doesn’t serve alcohol, there’s a liquor store right next door, so we picked up a nice bottle of red wine. The staff had wine glasses and a corkscrew ready for us. It was a thoughtful touch! I ordered the Meatballs with Ricotta in Vodka Sauce, while my friends had the Meatballs with Fresh Mozzarella in Vodka Sauce sandwich. They loved how they hollowed out the bread and filled it with the meatballs. We also shared a fresh salad, and everything was delicious, served promptly, and

My family, friends, and I have been long-time customers of Millie's since the day it opened, and it continues to be our favorite pizza place in town. Everything about our most recent visit was outstanding. We did a pizza-making class, and the staff went above and beyond to accommodate our entire party—it was fun, well-organized, and truly memorable. The service was excellent from start to finish. Peter, as always, was incredibly kind and generous, just as he has been for years. My family was visiting from Minnesota for Christmas, and we wanted them to have the true New Jersey experience, and this was absolutely the perfect place to do it. You simply can’t beat the food, the atmosphere, or the people. Highly recommend!

Good old world Italian food with a new age flare. Service was a little lacking considering my party was the only table in there. Not sure how the service would be when it gets packed. Had to give the “famous meatballs” a try and see what the hype was about. They were good but nothing really special. Too much sauce in my opinion and a bit overpriced. A lot of the pricing I thought was rather high like if you wanted to simply add cheese to something or a different kind of sauce it was like $3 extra. Pizzas were good but a little overloaded for my liking. Menu is a lot to look at considering there is two different types of pizzas you can choose from so it can become overwhelming. Would recommend it to someone who’s looking for a nice Italian dining experience with a group but would definitely
