Mimmo’s Pizza Shoppe

This pizza has gone viral for a reason. I traveled from south Florida to try it with no regrets. We tried half the menu and everything is 5 stars. We had it the night we got in and the next day before flying out.

Such a hidden gem! Busy with locals, but the staff was so friendly and welcoming. They even guided us with some must-try options for our first visit. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious, and we left completely full! We tried: • Staten Italy sandwich • The Mort sandwich • Buffalo BBQ pizza • Hot Honey pizza • Cheesesteak pinwheel Every bite was amazing. Great restaurant—I’d definitely go back again!

As a self-proclaimed pizza connoisseur that has tried arguably the best pizza in every borough, Mimmo’s is the real deal. I’ll go as far as saying that this may be the best pizza in Staten Island and top 5 in NYC just off of the sheer pizza/pinwheel/sandwich variety that is all consistently good!.. I was honestly taken aback that I can get a l’industrie-style burrata pizza, a Joe’s-style plain slice, a L&B-style Sicilian, and Krispys-style pinwheels (with more variety), all in one shop that does it their own original way. I just want to add that Rob is genuinely awesome dude that knows his pizza. He looks like he lives and breaths this stuff all with a smile on his face with each pie he makes. Been seeing this place on Instagram & had to cross that 440 bridge! They DID NOT disappoint! Wow everything was amazing ! I had the 3 sauce focaccia garlic sandwich, the corn Sicilian, the vodka slice, plain slice for my son & the hot honey Sicilian! Everything was 5 out 5 here! Small inside but great service! I’ll be back in 2 weeks!!

We tried Mimmo’a when they first opened up and enjoyed a lot of their slices and variations. This time we placed an order for pick up and when we arrived it seemed like the order hadn’t even been started. I understand these things happen but one of the pies we ordered was a Chicken Parm vodka and when we arrived home, we were quite disappointed. Besides it having crumbs of chicken instead of actual pieces. The pizza itself look like it was sitting on their counter earlier in the day and then just piped some ricotta on there to make it look good. We paid $27 for this pie and it was dry , barely any chicken or any taste Of vodka - dried cheese and old. To note we also ordered the upside down pie, which we did enjoy. So careful what you order It can be hit or miss.
