Overall, this was a disappointing experience and not what I expected based on the positive reviews. I would rate the meal around a 3 out of 10. The pork fried rice was extremely bland and had no real flavor, it mostly just tasted oily. The white rice was standard and fine, nothing notable. The sweet and sour chicken pieces were actually good and had a nice chicken flavor, which was one of the few positives. Unfortunately, the boneless barbecue ribs also lacked flavor and tasted old and dry.(barely any sauce) The chicken and broccoli combo was especially disappointing. The container was almost entirely filled with the same flavorless pork fried rice, with only about seven pieces of broccoli and a few pieces of chicken. The staff was polite, but not particularly attentive. I had to wait a long time to place my order. Overall, the cafe is good for a quick and inexpensive bite, but don't expect a sophisticated taste. If you're looking for authentic Chinese cuisine, this isn't your place. I probably won't be returning. I'll be looking elsewhere. Average rating.

This is the first time I had food from Ming's, but so far very impressed. It was all well cooked, tasty, well seasoned and none of the fried stuff was greasy. I ordered Kung Pao shrimp and it was spicy! So often the menu indicates spicy, but it usually is bland - not this.

Best Chinese in the area. The food is so flavorful, always hot and delicious.

Ming's on State Street Schenectady (be careful there are 2 other Mings in the area) is outstanding. This Chinese food is the best. You must bring CASH. They don't accept any plastic, not even with a minimum order. I would deduct a star for that nuisance, but the food is really really good.
