Made a mistake on my sisters birth certificate sometime within the last 38 years and gave her the incorrect name. We were told to contact the office of vital records, and even though they admitted they know they screwed up and know her real name, they will not fix it without her paying a significant amount of money and messing with her. Her social security card, government ID, house, her kids birth certificates, her old military ID, and all other legal documents except for that one have her real name on it, including the one that was sent to them in 1986 where they were supposed to get her actual name from and messed it up!

Horrible place!!!!!!! So unorganized, this is the second time that I have paid and when they send me mail it appears to be “missing”. Several workers have gave me attitude when I waited months to receive mail from them. I never received anything and I have paid 340 on a money order for birth amendments! I don’t understand why they can’t have walk ins to make things easier!!!!!!!!!

Needed many amendments done on multiple birth certificates. MN Department of Health was great and on top of it and flexible where they could be. Very grateful to get it all done in time.

Ordered my replacement 10 month ago never received and no one can tell me what happened bullshit 106 buck for nothing
