Mission Tasty Hut

Grew up around here and just never tried this place, but always passed by. Anyhow, was in the mood for the $6 dollar variety of burgers and wow, this place hit the spot. Ordered a double wagyu cheese burger with garlic fries and it was good! As in both patties was still juicy good! Garlic fries weren’t too garlicky and not salty. Prices seem fair for how full I felt afterwards. Not cheap. Not too expensive. I’ll certainly be back again!

Ordered the surf and turf which was their waygu burger and about 6 pieces of large fried shrimp. Also ordered the shrimp and chips (fries). The burger and shrimp were flavorful. The flavor and size of the shrimp surprised me. The shrimp were large and the flavor of the shrimp was not masked by the fried batter. The price was more than fair. Highly recommend.

Stopped by with my son before his next class. This place has solid cheeseburgers. Simple menu with a great price. We got our food pretty quickly. We will be back.

Update August 2025: temporarily removing one star as they have very rigid ordering. Could not add a second patty to my surf and turf combo? I’m willing to pay extra, they said they can’t because the system won’t allow it. That’s pretty silly that they can’t physically cook and add a second patty just because their “system” won’t allow it? I’ll check back in a few weeks and update my review of this is fixed. Wow! This place is GREAT! It’s definitely gourmet. Think juiciness of The Melt, casualness of In-N-Out, but gourmet quality of a proper restaurant (delicate buttery brioche buns, better quality meat), with your college town burger shack vibe. I hope they’re here to stay because this is going to be my new spot. Only wish they were open later (i.e. 11pm)!

Double Wagyu & Garlic Fries - the Wagyu beef definitely has a unique flavor! The food quality is more upscale than the old Mission Burger that used to be here. Thanks for opening another burger shop! Nostalgia restored✨
