Moghul Restaurant

We reserved a table for three to celebrate my wife's birthday. This is something I had mentioned in the reservation. This place promotes itself as a high end restaurant, therefore I would mention the following opportunities- 1. Help customer celebrate special occasions. 2. Clean or take out the dirty carpet from the stairs. 3. Have a designated space for coats and jackets. 4. Keep paper towels in the restroom. 5. Do not charge 20% tip in advance. Give customer the discretion to tip based on service. Overall, it was an average experience at a premium price.

I recently visited Moghul Restaurant in Edison for their weekend buffet. The food was decent — not exceptional, but acceptable overall. There was a reasonable variety, and some dishes were good while others were just average. However, what disappointed me was the automatic 20% gratuity added to the bill. For a buffet setup, where service is minimal, deducting gratuity without informing customers upfront does not feel appropriate. Gratuity should be optional and based on the level of service received, not automatically included without clear communication. Transparency in billing is important. I hope the management considers revisiting this policy or at least clearly informing customers beforehand. Overall, an okay food experience, but the automatic gratuity policy needs improvement.

I was really excited about our dinner date on Valentine's day and all the expectations were broken because of the quality of food. The highs: The restaurant was busy and we arrived earlier than our reserved spot so we had wait for about 20 min. We ordered Samosas, Chicken tikka and paneer tikka masala with mango lassi. Had to order rice separately. The chicken tikka and the ambience was the only highlight of this experience. My wife really enjoyed the chicken. The naan was stellar and it was cool seeing them make them in their in-house tandoor oven. The lows: The service was a bit lackluster. The Samosas were crispy on the outside and undercooked on the inside. It had a feeling that it could have been frozen. They were not served with any chutneys. We had to ask our server for additional

I am anyways fond of the food that Moghul express serves, but this time hopped on to Moghul Restaurant, the food was amazing, serving is perfect and staff is very professional, got to meet the head chef Jitendra, he is such a kind and lovely man, took such good care for all of us. I had got my family from Boston and they loved it.I had Dal makhani after so long , and god it was so yummy.

The staff is incredibly cordial, and the space is spotless and well kept. The vibrant interior adds so much character, making it a great spot for a memorable fine‑dining experience.
