Molcajetes Mexican Restaurant JERSEY CITY

The food is so good I go there at least twice a week! My favorite is the rice and beans with steak. Also the chicken salad is really good! They’re so friendly and they always make sure everything is ok with your order. Hands down the best Mexican restaurant in Jersey City!!

I been living off of west side for the past 3 years and I’ve always wanted to try this place out and I finally stopped by today. When you walk in there’s great vibes with the music playing and the Tv having multiple sports channels on. The young lady who took my order was nice, no complaints there. But the food was very disappointing, I order the bisteck steak with rice and beans and a side of salad. I was not a fan of the salad nor a fan of the beans. I opened the beans up and immediately closed it cuz it was a stiff pile of goooo just sitting there staring back at me. I’m not being funny when I ask this but what kinda salad was that? Did not like it!!! The rice lacked flavor but fluffy enough to my liking and the steak was average. So all that to say is I’m glad I never went there before

Everything was amazing! From the quesadilla con chorizo to the torta de milanesa de res, everything was freshly made and so flavorful! I tried some of the other dishes from the pictures I've shared and they were also amazing. If you're looking for some amazing authentic Mexican food this is definitely the place for it! Service is also fast and friendly.

7.5/10 Birria Tacos Birria tacos were good but seemed to lack some flavor.

Love the birria tacos, tacos al pastor, and the tacos dorados. The lady working here is very nice and welcoming. Definitely will come back to try the plates.
