Reminds me of my childhood meals. Authentic Southern Cooking!!! Family owned with generations of recipes that are made with love. I have never eaten anywhere that reminded me so much of home.❤️ The turnip greens, macaroni & cheese, yams, baked beans, fried okra and cornbread taste just like my Mama's cooking. Mama Dots fried chicken reminds me of my Great Aunt...she cooked platters of fried chicken every Sunday. The food here is so familiar and comforting. Other favorites are fried catfish, fried shrimp, hush puppies, rice & gravy, banana pudding. You will be greeted by the sweetest ladies that take great pride in their food, traditions and enjoy serving others. You will leave with a full belly and a full heart❤️

Every dish was expertly seasoned, from the vibrantly green collard greens to the creamy chicken and macaroni and cheese. The fried chicken was absolutely phenomenal, boasting a perfectly crispy exterior that gave way to succulent, juicy meat inside. The cornbread was another highlight—moist and cake-like, it was the ideal complement to the meal, adding a touch of sweetness to the savory flavors on the plate. Each component came together to create a truly unforgettable dining experience. Soul food is good for the soul and this plate is exactly what you need for that comfort.

We went to have their fried chicken. Even though they were close to closing, they fried fresh chicken for us. Such a pleasure to talk with them while we waited for our food.

My partner and I are locals that work on the Cape and we have been wanting to come eat here for years. We finally had a week day off together so we headed to Mama Dots’! The restaurant, service, and food is absolutely exceptional on all fronts!!! The wonderful ladies serving us made us feel like close friends and they were the sweetest! The food made me feel like I was back in my great grandmother’s kitchen on a Sunday afternoon. I haven’t had good food like this in many years. We highly recommend anyone and everyone to try out this hidden gem in town! We will be back every chance we get! Thank you so much for such a great and nostalgic experience ladies! It’s a little piece of home for any southerner!
