Mommy Mom(sandwich &spring rolls)

I went to this place craving some pho and tried some of their food. I ordered a meat combination pho, pork fried dumplings and pork spring rolls. Meat pho: 0/5 It was one of the worst pho I ever tasted. Broth had no flavored at all, pho tasted like boiled water with noodles, and I also paid extra for extra veggies but as you can see it in the picture it’s not worth the extra dollar. I did already used the basil leaves. Fried pork dumplings: 3/5 it was crispy and hot and I enjoyed them. 3 is being average. Pork spring rolls: 4/5 Portion of the spring rolls were huge and I enjoyed the flavors of the rolls. I remembered a vietnamese joint being located in this parking lot, and the name of this place didn't standout to me. So glad I finally checked out this place. What a hidden gem! The interior has been re Decorated and it's really open and cute. Bathroom is clean. Service was good. Food came out fast. Their menu is not a fusion, but more like a mélange of SE Asian dishes. The Burmese tea leaf salad and Shan noodle soup are what got me to try. The noodle soup in coconut broth is tasty, good balance between the herb and coconut milk. I spiked it with a lot of their chilli oil to get to to how I like. The tea leaf has a salty, pungy flavor from the fish sauce so may be a surprise for unaccustomed palette. I cleaned my plate though! It was so good.

I don't recommend them for a "to go" lunch. They gave me a tiny container with my pho broth so I couldn't mix my veggies and noodles in. I had to stop at dollar tree to get a bowl with a lid large enough to mix everything as I was going back to work and couldn't go home. Other restaurants have the taller plastic containers not ones the size of a coffee cup. Not sure what's gong on here. Food was ok. Restaurant was neat and clean up front.

I tried to go to Mommy Mom a few times. Each time, they were closed. This visit was the same. On one website, it showed that they reopened at 4pm, however they don't reopen until 4:30 pm. I decided to wait this time. It was worth the wait. I love garlic noodles. The only place I can find them is at a restaurant in Florida. The noodles here are much thinner than Kai, but the flavor is about the same. I love the fried garlic and buttery flavor. My only complaint would be that I would have liked a little larger portion. Not trying to sound greedy, but the noodles are thin, so they are not very filling. I chose chicken as my protein. It was shredded, and there wasn't an abundance of it. Would I try it again...definitely! I'm looking forward to my next visit. The next time, I will order spring

It’s a nice cozy restaurant with few seating options. We tried their Coconut chicken curry noodle soup and Curry noodle soup (Shan noodle)- both were good. We also had their fried chicken dumplings which was very good!
