Momomaru Hand Roll Bar is a gem in SLC. The hand roll sushi is excellent – super fresh fish, warm rice, and crispy nori, exactly how a good hand roll should be. The ceviche was a standout dish: bright, flavorful, and really fresh, with a nice balance of acidity and sweetness. You can tell they care about ingredients and execution. Service was friendly and efficient, and the vibe at the counter made it fun to watch everything being prepared right in front of us. Overall, a great spot for high‑quality hand rolls and a very solid ceviche. Highly recommend.

Momomaru was one of the best sushi experiences I’ve had in a long time. I went for the first time with two old friends, and we were blown away. The restaurant is small and intimate, maybe 15–20 seats total, and they don’t take reservations, so definitely go early. We ordered the six-roll package and added the ceviche, some sashimi, and the baked lobster. Every single dish was phenomenal. There honestly wasn’t a weak one in the bunch. The baked lobster and the toro were probably the standouts, but everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. Amazing new hand roll spot in Salt Lake City! The atmosphere is great—modern, cozy, and perfect for a date night. These were honestly the best hand rolls I have ever had. Everything tasted incredibly fresh and well balanced. Highly recommend the spicy tuna and toro hand rolls, and the shrimp tempura hand roll was excellent with the perfect crunch. High quality food at a very reasonable price. Definitely coming back!

Super cool handroll sushi restaurant in downtown slc. Excellent vibes and service in here for the soft opening. I can’t wait to go back and try more. The spicy tuna roll and the shrimp tempura were both delicious and I would get them again. They told me eventually they will have a coffee shop open on the back so you can get coffee while you wait.
