Customer Reviews
My first time going here was January 28th 2026. I was impressed. I tried the blue crabs splendid, I will be going back there to try the fried fish platter, the crabs wasn't over seasoned just perfect especially if your watching your salt intake. The Guys were very nice and hospitable easy to talk to and laugh with. It was a very pleasant experience. Thank You Guys
I drive 30-40 minutes to get crabs from here because they are so good. Mind you I have 2 crabs places near me but they do not compare. The owner and staff are really nice and the food is always good.
First time trying this establishment. This was the perfect Father’s Day gift 🙌🏽.. I was greeted by the manger/owner at the door and it felt like home soon as I walked in. Very welcoming. The crabs were some of the best crabs I ever had!!!! 10 out 10. FRESH FRESH CRABS!!! So clean and juicy. I had a dozen of sautéed crabs and a pound of crab legs. Everything was amazing. I would highly recommend this establishment!!! Monks just gained a new customer. I’ll be back soon!!
Not gonna lie shrimp was on point and mussels were good however…. Didn’t get what I paid for tho these were 5 dollar crabs I’ve had crabs before from other places and never had to deal with this The eggs (orange stuff) was soft and seemed raw The meat was clumpy practically melt in ur mouth just not in a good way and it tasted like plastic. The mustard was really dull and watery. My wife tried one and a few minutes later immediately got a bad stomachache
I am very disappointed with my platter from Monks. I’m new to the area and have been looking for good seafood; the reviews seemed to be pretty good so I thought to give it a try. I paid $40 for 6 shrimp, and two crab clusters(both had legs missing), 2 potatoes and literally a stalk of broccoli. I called to try and see if I could get things replaced but I was hung up on. Their seafood salad was good, but I would never get a platter again...that on top of the customer service just rubbed me the wrong way for good. I took pictures because I wanted to show them but like I stated I was unable to get in contact with anyone.
