Montez Creekside Kitchen

Food isn't bad here. I got a steak which was wonderful. I didn't like the brown sauce on it though. Tasted like Salisbury.. husband got salmon and his was pretty good.

I have to say, we were disappointed. We came 2 years ago and had a a great time and decided to make reservations for Valentine’s Day. Despite having reservations, we were seated by the bathrooms, how romantic! They had a “special” set Valentines menu that didn’t include drinks or desserts, and the waiter indicated that he did not know much about the menu or the drink specials. The service was… awkward and slow. We overheard the lady at the table next to us say “I don’t need a sharper knife, I need a sharper waiter!” And despite his best efforts, we agree. Food was good yet overpriced.

Holy Smokes! I have been to Montez Creekside many times. But today... today I tried their Shrimp Ceviche. I don't know that there are words to describe how good it is. It's like a shrimp salsa with fresh shrimp, and other fresh ingredients. A flavor explosion in your mouth! The bar manager Jennifer is super great too. She makes a killer raspberry jalapeno margarita. I am one happy momma tonight. Thank you Creekside.

My friend and I went and ate there yesterday and I ordered a cheeseburger and he ordered a steak and his steak was overcooked and smothered in some kind of gravy and the cheeseburger was very dry and didn’t come out as ordered and then to top it all off my friend who ordered the steak spent the next morning growing up And I was also sick as well. The next morning from the hamburger this was our first time eating here, never go here.

Another great local bar and grill in East Texas. Plenty of room for big parties. The bar area is cozy. Great selection of beers. Probably the best selection of Mexican beers around, including Victoria made by Modelo. The fried chicken sandwich is very good. The batter has a great flavor. The chicken was perfectly cooked, hot and juicy. The potato soup was full of flavor. Love the bean dip with chips. We could have used a little more of the bean dip with the amount of chips you get. Can't wait to hang out on the patio when the weather cools off.
