This Sunday, Nov. 30 I went in and told the girl with long dark hair I was buying two pieces of cake. I told her which one I definitely wanted, then asked about the flavor of one next to it and said no thank you and opted for a different slice. She then had three total she was placing in the box and I stated no thank you for the one with white chocolate. She was sassy and said well you had me take it out. So my answer was no thank you I soy like white chocolate. When I checked out she gave the total - a ripoff - very high prices for two slices of cake. She then said have a nice day and didn’t wait to finish my completing the transaction. Customer service needs some training with regard to just that customer service. Montilios does it again!!! I called on Wednesday afternoon for a custom cake to be ready on Friday morning and they were so sweet and accommodating and made an exceptional cake as always. The best part was asking for a Cookie Monster cake and they DELIVERED. Down to the crushed cookie detail ☺️ I will always choose montilios not only for their freshness but for their customer service and creativity!!!! Thank you thank you!!!

Last month I ordered an Italian Rum Cake for a birthday dinner. This is our family’s traditional birthday cake and Montilio’s has a good one. Unfortunately, the cake looked like a rum cake on the outside but was in fact a strawberry cake when cut. I called the store the next day and reported the problem. They were very responsive and offered a $25 credit on the cake. I don’t live near Hanover and asked if I could get a $25 refund instead. They were going to check and get back to me. Never heard from them again. It so happens that I was going to be in the area last week and called to check if my credit was available. It was not. I asked to speak to the manager I had spoken to previously and was told to call back the next day, which I did. I was told it was busy and to call back the next da

I won’t keep flushing my money away at this bakery. The desserts look magazine worthy. But the taste and quality is awful. Don’t be fooled. My husband had an eclair today. Not only was the chocolate frosting hard the taste was bland and it was so large it was hard to eat. It fell apart completely inedible.

Just left Montilio’s drove an hour to get a gift card. They don’t have any gift cards activated and refused to activate one for me even after I told them I drove an hour one-way to get this gift for my elderly mother. Won’t be back anytime soon.
