Moore's Olde Tyme Barbeque Chicken & Seafood

Moore’s is a local staple in the Winterville/Greenville community. They haven’t been in business as long as other local barbecue spots but still have a reputation for quality food. I grew up on Parker’s but have grown to favor the taste of Moore’s My personal favorites are the pulled pork and bone-in chicken. The chicken is always cooked well with a seasoned crispy skin to enhance the flavor. This time I had fries, which were shoestring and salted nicely, and green beans for my sides. There’s a dining room in case you want to sit and enjoy your food fresh. Dine-in service can be a longer wait so I always do drive thru for my visits. Give them a try if you’re looking for some comfort food at good prices.

my wife and I have been going to Moores BBQ in Winterville, North Carolina for several years. We have always enjoyed their food and service however lately it has declined Yesterday we went to the store on Central Park Drive in Winterville and ordered their old time barbecue chicken sandwich. We received our sandwiches (two) and were very disappointed. The sandwiches had chicken bones in them and seem like old stringy chicken. I took the sandwiches back to the server and they were replaced with the new sandwiches also had chicken bones. I have attached pictures. I spoke to the manager who said he was from the Midwest and was not familiar with this problem. He said that he personally hand manipulates each piece of chicken prior to cooking looking for bones and found none. I then showed him t

I have lived in Greenville, most of my life and our staple Chicken and Barbeque now belongs to Moore’s. I never have to tell them to cook my chicken so that it will be crispy and not soggy. They always greet you when you come in the door with a smile, and even the manager engages with you. The atmosphere is like family. I went with my husband one time and now he’s saying do you wanna go eat at Moore’s But of course, Honey I would love to go to Moore not to mention you get complementary coffee they want me there. If you’re looking for the best chicken barbecue fish and sides, this is definitely the location you need to visit!!!

Family of Pescaterians. I really really wish there were vegetarian options for the sides-a vegetarian Brunswick stew, collards, string beans, baked beans......EVERY LAST SIDE HAS MEAT IN IT except for french fries, potatoe salad and hush puppies. Please add vegetarian sides Moore's! Bc we live around the corner, they're our go to for seafood plates. Normally their seafood plates are BETTER seafood than Mayflower SEAFOOD RESTAURANT; however the last 3 times they have also been not up to their usual standard. Shrimp plate ordered last night at 8:40p.m. Get home shrimp had NO batter. Just plain shrimp fried in grease and then put in the plate grease and all. Never had greasy shrimp from them. Side was wrong....Normally Moore's gets an A+...hopefully these have been flukes because of new worke
