Morelia Mexican Grill, Bastrop

It was a really great experience! The service, taste, and staff were all excellent, and the prices were very fair. I also appreciate that they offer a police/military discount — thank you for that! Highly recommend this place.

We came here for a late lunch on Saturday and got a table right away. Our server was attentive and friendly. I ordered the fajita chimichanga and I really liked it. My husband ordered one of their combination plates and he enjoyed his meal, especially the tamale. The only bad thing was that the bathrooms were pretty gross.

Service was good, but the food was plain, not so much of a seasoning. I didn’t like queso with the ground beef as beef had some unpleasant smell to my taste and again no seasoning. Also it smells like chemicals in the restaurant.

Restaurant was nice and clean. My only issue was the service. I'm sure our server was new, since it took ~25 minutes to get our drinks. When I got my frozen margarita, it was already melted. As I'm typing this, my girlfriend is still waiting ~10 minutes for her second drink. Food took ~35 minutes. The food was worth the wait, but I won't be coming back until management works out the kinks. The restaurant is new, so I'm sure it'll get better in the next 2 or 3 months. Edit: This was originally a 3 star review, but the server took ~10 minutes to bring the check. When he did, it was the wrong check. I don't plan on coming back.

Love the queso! And they have special thick chips or normal thin.. so yummy... Great weekly specials.. Great spot in Bastrop
