One of our most favorite dining rooms on campus. There’s a great variety of food every day, so it never feels boring. The halal and kosher stations are a big plus and not something found in other dining halls. The vibe is always lively, and the space is big enough that even when it’s crowded, we can still find a nice spot to sit and enjoy our meal.
Hands down the best university dining hall I’ve ever experienced. Open to the public at $16 for adults and ~$7 for kids, it’s an absolute steal considering the quality and scale. The space is massive and beautifully designed, even equipped with a “Discovery Kitchen” for live courses and cooking demos. The food stations are incredibly diverse: halal, West Side Grill, East Side Market, North End Pizza and Pasta, salad bar, dessert bar, fruit bar, yogurt bar, ice cream (from Cornell Dairy!), and more. Even in summer break, with some stations closed, the options were overwhelming in the best way. Highlights: • The pizza was top notch – fresh from wood-fired ovens. • Blueberry and banana yogurt? Dreamy. • The grilled fish was surprisingly delicious. • Tater tots and salad bar were far above a
Best dinning hall in US universities. Totally blown away by the quality and variety of the foods. I had the best pizza in America so far. There are red pizza, white pizza, all kinds of toppings, and the crust is made perfect, all freshly from the real fire oven. Price is also very reasonable. All foods are made to high quality restaurants standards.
Toni Morrison has an extremely diverse spread of good--not great--food. You can find the specific offerings and times online, but otherwise can expect their usual stir-fry noodles, pizza/pasta, salad bar, something Asian-themed, something Western, continental offerings, and baked goods + ice cream for dessert. If you like variety, quantity, and value, this is the place for you. If you like strong flavors and exotic dishes, keep away. P.S. the Sunday Brunch is usually the besylt meal.
Overall, one of the best dining halls on campus. Food quality is nearly as good as West Campus and the variety is solid. Breakfast is repetitive but in my opinion the best at Cornell. There is a lot of chicken for lunch and dinner, but the chicken dishes are pretty good. While the place often gets crowded, there's usually enough seating and the lines don't get too long. I wish there was less pork served (especially in the pasta), I wish that the customizable pasta station was open more, and I wish that they could hire more people and improve the dishroom operations to more consistently utilize reusable items. You can partially thank me for recent improvements in that last one, specifically involving separating your utensils into bins at the dish drop :)
