For a late dinner, I went to Morristown Diner, which provided everything a local New Jersey diner should. The interior is bright, colorful, and clean, with teal booths, patterned tile floors, and soft lighting that creates a nice atmosphere. The outside has that vintage roadside appeal. I got a turkey club, which was loaded with big slices of turkey, tomato, and fresh lettuce. There was also a pickle, coleslaw and cranberry sauce on the side. The tuna wrap with french fries, another meal we ordered, was very fresh. Our drinks were continuously refilled without our request, and the service was prompt and courteous. We even had leftovers to take home, and the prices were fair given the size of the portions. My experience at Morristown Diner included delicious comfort cuisine, generous portio
An excellent truly-retro diner! Very clean interior and many comfortable booths. The staff are very friendly, courteous and fast. The menu is very diverse and you will always find several items to enjoy for any meal of the day. I highly recommend enjoying a meal at this fabulous authentic diner.
The ultimate NJ diner. Feasted on a “Taylor Ham” sandwich. The menu listed it as, “Pork Roll,” but this is North Jersey - hence, I am calling it as it should be called, “Taylor Ham.” A great experience. From the waitstaff service to the taste of the food. A wonderful experience!
If you want to experience a part of morristown that stood the test of time then this is the place for you. With that been said the morristown diner does not represent morristown very well. Its old, dingy and mostly attracts the younger crowd who had one to many drinks from bar hopping in morristown! In my opinion the Randolph dinner would be a much better representation of morristown than the morristown diner!
Service was very good with very polite server. Service was fast. From there it goes downhill. Gravy on disco fries was burnt. Toast had some sort of onion butter taste. Home fries tasted like cooked in old oil. Shake okay but expensive for the size. Omlet okay but again had an “off” taste. Maybe an off night since many reviews are better.
