Muchacho Alegre

Large, festive-looking restaurant with wonderful people! Carne was incredibly tender. Queso fresca was warm, creamy and just the right amount to make those nachos perfect!

Food is fresh, well cooked, and well seasoned. I got the alegre rice with shrimp and chicken and man it was just warm and wonderful. The waiter was chill and attentive and reccomended a dish for next time. lastly restaurant itself, we came in when it wasnt busy so the dining area was quiet, there was light music and the area itself is nicely decorated and clean. overall a great time!

Maybe it was a bad night. It was fairly busy Friday night. We did call and they should have prepared for our company of about 20 people. Most of our party received prompt service. Our table waited for well over an hour. I had ordered basic chicken fajitas. It had just a few pieces of “pollo” on the dish. Lots of onion and peppers. I mean it’s a dish that all Mexican restaurants should be well prepared for anywhere you go. That dish cost me 32 bucks including the tip. I still tip. The food tasted good. Anyway. Come on guys tighten it up over there. I know you can do a little better. Thanks.

Such a friendly family place with authentic Mexican food and great prices. Many specials every day to check out too...great place! The pollo don chepe is awesome! Free kids meals on Mondays! Took my college team for dinner here and they worked with our tight budget wonderfully. Such a friendly staff and have an awesome bar area where they play sports games all the time! my favorite Mexican restaurant ever!!!

It's Cinco de Mayo today. So, I had to find a Mexican Restaurant since I'm not in Lynchburg today to go to my favorite. Muchacho Alegre is colorfully & nicely decorated. It is very clean here. The people here are kind, friendly & attentive. The food is delicious! I made the right choice. I'm in Lexington twice a week for now, so I'll be back!
