Mug Coffee & Clay

The barista was kind and professional. He made a delicious dirty chai. We got some pastries to hold us over, so it was nice that they offer snacks. It's a cute space - doubles as a pottery studio. The cafe seating is a bit limited, but it does get wonderful light. Mostly just be mindful of the timing when you visit. If it's busy there won't be many seats, or pastries available.

Coffee roasting talent meets another hand creativity on 8th and Reed Street in South Philly. A beautiful newly opened coffee shop which serves coffee in handmade cups made in their workshop. They are going to start pottery workshops in April.

Wow! What a lovely place for a cup of coffee! Lewis made an amazing pour over for me from a single-origin Ecuadorian bean he had roasted. It was amazing!

I went to their Tofani door class and it was spectacular! Fun, informative, and accessible for beginners. The space is gorgeous and it was a lovely sunny spot to spend my afternoon doing a project and drinking good coffee.

I can't recommend Mug enough. There are so many good specialty coffee shops in Philly, but I will go out of my way to make my way to Mug. They roast their own beans and have recurring coffee tastings in the shop.
