Great place to eat! Our server, Beau, suggested shrimp, onion rings and Brussel Sprouts. He was right! The Brussel Sprouts contained all the things our doctors warn us about. The onion rings were thin and crispy. The grilled shrimp was seasoned perfectly. The portions were AMPLE! Jack enjoyed Flounder and Kelsey loved the fish Tacos. A must visit!
I had a fantastic lunch at Mullet Bay Restaurant on St. Simons Island—casual vibe with indoor/outdoor seating and a great spot in the Pier Village area. The staff was super welcoming and attentive, quickly accommodating our group and offering spot-on suggestions from the menu. My kid devoured the flounder and chips basket, which was crispy, golden-fried flounder fingers served with perfectly seasoned fries—fresh and flaky, not greasy at all. The hot honey fried chicken sandwich was a standout: juicy fried chicken drizzled with that sweet-spicy hot honey, topped with pickles and slaw on a soft bun—total flavor bomb! For something different, my friend tried the mahi mahi Reuben but substituted the mahi with flounder, and it worked amazingly well—grilled flounder with tangy slaw, remoulade, a
I had the catfish with mac and cheese, a side salad, and hush puppies—and let me just say, everything was incredible. The catfish was huge—honestly the biggest I've ever seen—and it was cooked perfectly. The mac and cheese was creamy and comforting, and even the salad was fresh and flavorful. But the hush puppies? Hands down the best I’ve ever had in my life. Our server, Audrey, was also amazing—so friendly, attentive, and on top of everything. She made the experience even better. If you’re anywhere near St. Simons, do yourself a favor and eat at Mullet Bay!
It was mid February when we cooled in for dinner. The turn was pretty quiet and not at all like I imagined it must be in summer. So when we were looking for a restaurant we picked a place where we saw people coming and going and we're glad you did. There was a very lively atmosphere around the bar on one end, but the dining area was pretty quiet and the food was good, the service was good and overall we had a great time.
Been a while since trying but I heard they have new owner. Food was very good: Wife had large fish sandwich with brussel sprouts that did not have overwhelming sweet glaze; I had good shrimp and son had fresh burger. Came out fairly fast even though they were busy. Server was new but did just fine. They have a 100 Health inspection score as of Oct 2025! :)
