Customer Reviews
A very nice college bar (if you want to call an Irish bar 💁). They have all standard bar food you can get. Food is good. Service is very nice. The staff here are very friendly. Food comes out fast. They have all kinds of drinks for you to order.
Nacho Fries were good. However, customer service was horrible. The lady with the green hair, square black glasses, and name tag “T” was not only extremely rude but also talked down to us. We tried to ask a clarifying question about a food item and she not only did not answer our question, called us “wasteful”, but also had a very judgmental tone and talked down to us like we were stupid. We have experience working in customer service and recognize that she was working at a busy hour so we still tipped her. However, being busy is not an excuse to be rude to customers. We suggest she reevaluate her customer service skills. Food, drinks, and atmosphere was great, however it is unfortunate that our interaction with this worker ruined our experience.
Great drinks! Highly recco the Girl Scout cookie shot (Bailey’s, mint liquor, and vodka). Best shot I have EVER had. Service provided to the customers could use some work. Post iConverge, a few of the grad students gathered there. We weren’t being belligerent or rude. Some young blonde dude was working the night I was there (the evening of 9/11). He was super dismissive and rude. I asked to purchase a tee and he asked if I could wait until closing. He clearly wasn’t busy. He just didn’t want to do the work. I then asked if they were selling food. He then replied “the kitchen closed at 12am!” I’m sorry, umm was I supposed to know that, as an out of towner? The staff needs to be trained to communicate and serve professionals over the age of 30+ (or humans, in general) way better. We’re no
Despite being an Irish pub, this place seems to operate more like your typical American bar. Won't find a whole lot of Irish tunes playing on the speakers in here; although perhaps that may be because they have a jukebox here. Not sure if live Irish bands are hosted here either. They do have a local Irish Red though, and I enjoyed that quite a bit. The food was quite good too.
First time here on our visit to the University of Illinois. Located right off the Quad on Green street. Nice bar inside with excellent food. Their Reuben sandwich was excellent along with great onion rings. Waffle fries were excellent, as well. They also have pool tables downstairs. Very enjoyable experience. Enjoy!
