Music Division

If you visit the LOC I highly recommend making a stop at the Music Division. They have a number of interesting artifacts on display including Rachmaninoff's piano and some ephemera and instruments from legendary jazz musicians. The staff in general are extremely helpful and they will get you set up with any audio recordings or archival material that you are searching for. They have a lot of paper records pertaining to the history of music and musicians in addition to a vast library of audio recordings. This is a hugely important resource for the history of music and American culture.
