Food was great, speedy service... staff make you feel like your at home

I’m from St. Louis and their classic southern style soul food reminds me of home. Even the ladies that work at the establishment remind me of family. They have the best catfish in Broward . And I would know, as I am from St Louis. Give them a try and don’t forget to get a Carmel pound slice for dessert. I’ve been going here since 2023. I can’t find souls food like this anywhere else in Florida.

What can I say, a true hole in the wall. The kind of place you might want to get a tetanus shot after eating in. The cashier was ok but darn near 50 bucks and all that was edible was the fries. Catfish tasted like it was fresh caught about a year ago. Fried pork chop was edible but not worth 15.00.

It was a great experience to enjoy their wonderful food; the food that is telling a story, the story of a culture and a story of resistance, you can taste the homely soul in every bite. Thanks for having me in your restaurant ❤️

I knew I should have left when the faint smell of raid hit me when I entered. The food had a stench of that spray. I couldn't eat it. The young lady was nice. The older gentleman not so much. I was in town pre cruise on Virgin and ended up throwing the food away. I couldn't get that bug spray scent out of my taste buds
