We really enjoyed our experience at Mam! We didn't have reservations but they were able to accommodate us within 10 minutes of our arrival. I know we werr very lucky, but the team seemed incredibly efficient which I am sure was 80% of our luck. ;) The staff was friendly and helpful in explaining what we were eating and how Vietnamese people typically eat the items. Each dish we had was fabulous in its own way. I particularly enjoyed the eggplant and fried vegetable rolls. I don't think I have ever had Vietnamese food, but based on my experience at Mam I will plan to sample more.
Incredible Vietnamese food. The flavors are bold and authetic. The staff are also very nice and pleasant to converse with. Just be aware that the portion sizes are on the smaller end compared to most Vietnamese restaurants, so it's perfect for people with smaller appetites or who don't necessarily want leftovers. Highly recommended! I'd definitely come back again
Hands down the best authentic Vietnamese food. I’m from NC and this is so much better than a high end restaurant I went to New York time square. So good! I went with my bestie and cousin because I heard about this place on YouTube and decided to give it a try because the restaurant is set up like a third country. Loved it! Love the vibe! Food was good and so was the service
Food 3.25/5 Service 4/5 Ambiance 3.5/5 Value 3/5 Mam truly delivers on homey, authentic Vietnamese vibes, especially with the traditional seating setup. Their menu is highly unique and adventurous, you won't find these traditional dishes at many other Vietnamese spots, which is a big win for authenticity Didn't appreciate the portion & value. While the food is conceptually interesting, the portion sizes are notably small. For example, the Pho portion is roughly half the standard size found elsewhere, yet the price is approximately 40% higher (even accounting for the no-tipping policy) Dishes We Tried: Đậu Tấm Hành (Fried Tofu) (4/5): My personal favorite and the least "fried" dish. The combination of scallions and sauce worked perfectly with the great tofu texture Stuffed Snails (3.5/
Their Pho and spring rolls were fantastic, and I’d come back just for these. Some of their other more ‘authentic’ dishes are definitely more of an acquired taste, personally didn’t love them. Service after being sat was great, but service while waiting for a table is a hot mess - they have no system and seemingly just sit people down in whatever order they feel like, be prepared to stand up for yourself and fight for a table.
