We had a really good experience here. The waitress was attentive and the owner came around each table. The food was good, but nothing just over the top. My son’s brisket was good until the third slab which was mostly fat, and neither of us could eat it. I had a brisket sandwich that was tasty. The sauces are provided on the table and they’re really good for dipping! Okra was good and the cheesy corn was different. Son didn’t like the corn, but it was good to me and different.
The food was terrible. Brisket was just fat. Mac and cheese was cold. Beans were like cheap canned pork and beans. Turkey was decent. Picture of the brisket included in review. Server didn't seem to care. Was inattentive during the meal and basically shrugged and nothing else when I said something about the food. I paid and tipped because I know tipped employees are paid less than others. Will definitely not return. I've been to other locations and this location is definitely subpar in comparison.
I was really expecting much better food than I received. I read a review from someone that said the brisket he received was fatty and he wasn't exaggerating, the brisket I received was not only fatty but greasy as well and not edible. The bbq sauce was too spicy, the cheesy corn wasn't bad, just not for me, the potato salad was bland but sour at the same time, the green beans were a sweet and vinegary mix, the mac and cheese was ok and the beans would have been the best part if they weren't so spicy. The smoked chicken was so so. The best part of the meal was the coleslaw, go figure! Definitely not worthy of a second visit to say the least. If you already have a fav bbq joint, don't stray, this place is not worth the hype.
I’ve heard great things about this place! The short rib wasn’t it. 36$ for a few bites of meat. I asked the server for the biggest rib they had and I definitely paid for it. Wife’s taco was mostly fat. Sides were OK. Maybe I’ll try again one day.
Very pleasant atmosphere and service. I had the Bishop sandwich.. very good flavor. Our server recommended the Cinnamon Roll cheesecake and it did not disappoint. One bite and my tastebuds were singing Fly Me to the Moon by Frank Sinatra. Will definitely be coming back.
