Nagoya Steak & Seafood

I wish I could rate them higher as this was a staple growing up. I returned with my family excited to dine here again, and the host was incredibly rude. The restaurant only had a few tables seated and even with a reservation they wouldn’t sit us. There were no chefs out on the floor, and seemed incredibly understaffed for a holiday. After waiting awhile and never having been updated/taken to seats, we ended up leaving. I hope they consider customer experience a bit more in the future as this was an establishment that was well loved in the past.

We had reservations with another family for Xmas Eve. I know it’s difficult and busy. They kept telling us it was going to be 15 min. When it hit an hour after our reservation, we left as no one seems to care we were still waiting. Our friends stayed and were seated 70 min after our reservation and then no one came over for 15 min so they left and went to happy pig. We will never give them another opportunity as they should have communicated to us how long a the wait was and how over booked they were.

We have been going here for 20 years for special occasions-holidays, Birthdays etc. We made a reservation more than a month out for Christmas Eve 2025 as we had done for decades. Nagoya called us on two occasions, including a call 12/24/25, to confirm. We had 8 of us and when we arrived about 10 minutes early, the man (who I believe is the owner) told my wife he did not see it until 30 minutes later so we planned to wait. Others arriving after us were seated. Now maybe 3 minutes after our arrival, we went back, talked to the owner who had nothing to offer of help, and my wife pointed in the reservation book, at the reservation at the time we booked, now about 45 minutes past the reservation and circled which perhaps means no-show, the rest were scratched out. Be prepared for a surprising wallet hit. My husband and I paid $125 for two meals.. we haven’t dined at Ngoya for several years, and likely will not return.

Went here on my 50th birthday back in March 24 2023 with my child. However the lights went out that night while finishing up the great food with my niece and her husband and children. We had a great time.
