A Crowded Counter, Modest Comforts Nahuen bills itself as an Argentine café and bakery, and the appeal is immediately clear: a no-frills room, a long line at the counter, and a steady hum of takeout bags heading out the door. We ordered a dozen empanadas to go—mostly meat—and thanks to an unadvertised Tuesday promotion, three more were slipped into the bag. Generous, yes. Memorable, not quite. Most were serviceable but unremarkable; the four-cheese version was actively disappointing, rich to the point of imbalance and left unfinished. We added a Spanish tortilla, a simply plated chicken breast, and sweet potato fries. All arrived competently prepared, none demanding a return visit. Was there a few days ago and were told the system was down which is fine but the older man with glasses (manager/owner) was extremely rude to employees in front of customers. We even had to leave to a gas station to get change because the ATMs weren’t working for a long time. Empanadas are decent if you want to pay $5 for one but everything else cakes, sweets, pastries is overpriced and tasteless. For those prices you expect quality and flavor. Poor customer service, way overpriced. Do not recommend.

I stumbled upon this place a while back, ordered some empanadas to go and have been wanting to come back since. I finally came back today and I'm glad I did. Food was fresh and delicious, worth visiting often to try out different things. The lady that took my order was patient and friendly. It can get pretty busy so be patient. If you're in a rush, it might be best to check out the line before anything. I'll be back here for sure.

This restaurant has a different setup, you must order your items, pay, and then go sit down and wait for your food, which is good quality. It also has a small grocery section, with imported Argentinian items
