National Coney Island - Shelby Township

This has been a staple for years. The food is always fresh and the staff has been solid forever. Always feel good food.

Extremely disappointed by my type of service I experienced this weekend. We visit this location usually every other week. Typically I’m a SW Hani type of gal but I was craving some soup this time around. I noticed something in my soup towards the end and when I brought it up to my server Lena she said it definitely rice. She didn’t event really look at it. I just wanted something else to eat but she didn’t offer anything nor was it removed from the bill. I was disgusted because I know in fact upon inspection it was certainly a bug. It had little legs on it. We will continue to minimally frequent this restaurant, but will avoid the soup and be cautious of the rest of the items. Definitely disappointed with the way it was handled.

Always a great place for a Patty Melt. Only 1 issue. Ran out of Forks. I ate my hashbrowns with a plastic fork. Not really an ideal utinsil for eating Hashbrowns. Buy more forks.

Waitress never came back to see how food was or if I wanted anything more. Just dropped off the bill. Never came back to collect money so I could get change. Guess she wanted the change of over $5.00 as a tip. The food was good just the service poor.

Food was good but man this place is not meant for a family of 5, I don't think they even have a booth or table big enough.
