I ordered the chicken over rice and it was honestly terrible. The food looked and tasted nothing like what was advertised .. the chicken was dry, unseasoned, and didn’t seem fresh at all. The rice was plain with no flavor, and the entire dish looked thrown together carelessly. I expected a well-seasoned halal meal, but this was extremely disappointing and not worth the money. I couldn’t even eat it. I reached out to the restaurant for a refund because this was not acceptable quality. Would not recommend ordering from here the presentation and taste were both awful.

I ordered Butter Chicken and Chicken Tikka Kabab. Butter Chicken was decent but the Chicken Tikka Kabob was horrible. I have never seen it made with ground chicken. It should be made with boneless thighs or breast. I normally go to NewEra Indian Bistro but came here since they are closed on Wednesday. Terrible mistake

Today I took the time to walk in just to see what the vibes were about. I ordered Curry, chickpeas and potato, Spinach chicken over rice. It even had a mini salad with all the amazing tamarind sauce, chutney sauce. When I got home when I tell you, this food is Bussin!!! I almost bit my finger yo. I’m from Trinidad and this was the closest taste to my West Indian culture in Germantown area. I highly recommend walking in and ordering also ask for some recommendations. The proper knowledge of What goes well together, just ask. 10 out of 10 and very tasty! She even threw an extra rice & Sauces. I’m very happy.

It’s so sad how much this place changed. Just a few months ago in about.. April of 2025 this was still the delicious, beautiful restaurant I remembered from when I was younger. I used to go every Wednesday with my nana and the Ladies that worked there were phenomenal and still remembered me when I went back in early spring of 2025. The food was delicious then… but now, I looked went in and looked at the trays and they looked dry, gross and like they hadn’t mixed it for hours. But what was really horrible was that nasty, rude girl who was working at cash. First off, her attitude was deplorable. I asked for food and she was rushing my order and rolling her eyes. Then when I asked for the aloo gobi, she didn’t say “we didn’t have it” but “No.” straight up said no, and then I said never mind

This is NOT the same Jyoti I remember. Food was horrible! Bland…water down…nothing like I remember. Butter chicken and Chana masala was so tasteless! This food use to taste rich and full of flavor…not any longer! Also my Pakoras veggies were burnt as well. Oh and the lentils use to be creamy..flavorful…now they are watery and had some white stuff floating in it!! Gross! I’m sad I use to love this place. Throwing it all out! Please get a new cook, who cares about food, presentation, taste. Until then I Will find a new place!
